For Jesus, healing people was natural. He used to heal people in the
name of God. He did pass his methods and energy over to his
disciples. It is his everlasting mercy that heals people who are blessed
in the name of Jesus, even in this day and age. He emphasised on the
transferring of God’s blessings to the food and drink of the person, so
that it turns out to be medicine. He sees God as the loving father who
would not want his children to suffer. The unwavering trust in the
love of God is what made him a master healer, according to many. He
even touched and cured leprosy patients who everyone shunned
during that time as no cure was known to them and they would be
ostracised, if they got infected. In Matthew 8 (NIV) there is testimony
to Jesus being approached by a man with leprosy who knelt before
Jesus and told him that if Jesus is willing, he can make him clean.
Jesus reached out his hand and replied that he was willing and said-
“Be clean!” and so he was cleansed of leprosy. Jesus was determined
to make people believe that God is a kind father and not a monster
inflicting punishments. He touched and healed people. A woman got
cured just by touching the helm of his robe.
But he always emphasised that you should have the willingness to be
healed like the lame man near the pond Bethesda. He was unable to
