Broken idols, mirrors, crockery
If there is an idol or figurine of your favourite God or angel which is
chipped or broken or disfigured, do not wait for long to dispose it,
ideally in flowing water( river, oceans etc), as keeping them will
attract bad luck. Some Vasthu experts claim that keeping such items
will bring mishaps related to that corresponding body part which got
damaged. Broken mirrors or china also should not be kept in the
home.
Pictures that depict war, sadness and negativity
Images from Ramayan, Mahabharatha or the Bhagwat Gita scene
should not be kept in the homes as it may bring about rivalry
amongst family members. Other pictures or photographs of sad,
weeping or poverty stricken people should be removed at once from
display, no matter what the artistic merit of the picture is. Same holds
true for nude people, disappointed looks etc in pictures. It is also
prudent to remove Taj Mahal (picture or miniature) from the house,
as it is a tomb and it stands to have dead energy, though it is an
architectural marvel and an epitome of love of Shahjahan for his wife
Mumtaz.
Wild Animals
Pictures or figurines of wild animals like the snake, lion, tiger etc also
bring in bad wild vibes into the home. Placing the image or figurine
of a single animal or bird in couple’s bedroom is also proscribed.
Pictures or figurines or stuffed version of beasts will bring in wildness
in the nature of the inhabitants of the house.
