Aldaia prepared wonderful activities for us to do. I liked a lot of them but I think that my favourite ones was what we did during the day that we went to visit Valencia. This was my first time traveling and as expected the thing that I liked the most was going out on the streets and get to know a little bit more about the place where we were staying. The day started with a bus ride that I really enjoyed, because I got to see the views and see how different everything was from Madeira.

We stopped at the Serrano towers, and It’s so funny to think how you feel like everything is so much bigger. After that we went to see some graffiti art in the streets. And we went to a museum too; the exhibition had some great pieces of art. This was the first day that we watched the Mascletá live, and I was really excited although we weren’t close, we could still hear the loud noise of the firework, I wanted to get closer and fortunately a few days later we watched it closer. But now I can say that I watched Mascletá from different angles and it was great every time even when we weren’t close. I also liked the little picnic we had together.

Later that day we walked by beautiful places and took a few photos. It was really fun when we got to play for a little bit on the Gulliver Theme Park. I felt like a little kid for a while. Then we went to the Fallas museum where we first watched a mini documentary about the festival and I can say that now I understand better a few of the traditions related to the Mascletá and the Fallas. The museum had a lot of ninots: Small sculptures with satirical themes that are like the big Fallas that they make and burn on the final days of the festival.

By the end of the day we went to see the city of arts and Science, and the construction and architecture of it was magnificent. The sun and the light also helped to turn everything even more amazing. While there we had some activities related to astronomy. After that we went back home. It was an awesome day!

Thank you NoMI project and all our wonderful partners!
