When I conceived the idea of this free ebook, the first and only person I thought of to help me was Patrice. I knew he would not say “No.” But I hesitated still.Patrice had started his own business back in Canada, and we both know how hard it is to survive. I had no budget for this ebook, except to use some of my own money to pay a university student to translate the book from English to Chinese, as I did not want to abuse students who do not yet have the financial means. So, I had to ask Patrice to do this on a pro bono basis. I knew he would help me, but I still felt guilty because it meant taking up his time and energy over and above his usual work and driving a business.
I trusted our friendship, and despite the hesitation, I dared to ask. And needless to say, the creation of this ebook was only possible because he was behind me 200%, with his good heart, and with his care and support towards my endeavours to make the world mentally healthy.
And so, special thanks to Patrice at PixelArt for designing everything from top to bottom, dealing with me being fussy about formatting, and working extra weekends and long nights so that what you are reading now, is possible. I owe him for his generosity and friendship.
