Investigating tourism sector was fundamental for the developing business strategy and facilities for the Noah ethnographical district, where visitors and inhabitants are our main focus groups. Starting from a basic data as country and city population and amount of tourist per year we noticed that Armenia has an impressive ratio of tourist to the citizens: 1,2 million of tourist to the 3 million of state citizens. For example, France, which is the most visited destination in the world has 82,7 million of visitors to 67,1 millions of citizens. Indeed, the ratio of France is higher, but it still shows the importance of tourism in the country. It is necessary to add that tourism has a dynamic to growth and for the last 10 years the number of international tourists in Armenia increases from 0.4 million to 1.2. The average visitor spends 3 days and $785.1, that has a signiicant impact on GDP. Another vital aspect is the dynamic of Yerevan city population. In fact, it is stable during last 15 years and that means that our project shouldn’t consider the rapid growth of the city density and could gently work with a medium and low-rise buildings valorizing human scale and increasing the quality of life. 11
