pandemic is that we have books. Not only just paper books but online books for those who don’t want a physical book...or waste trees. Since we are living in the 21st century, we have so many stories for Halloween.

Many people from different decades have read books from the Goosebumps series, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, or Stephen King’s books. Those books have made people’s hood, so let’s get into the series!

The Goosebumps stories follow child characters in scary situations, usually involving monsters and other supernatural elements. It is one series that I don't know much about, and I can’t recommend any books. But here is a list of the titles that piqued my interest. The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight, Welcome to Camp Nightmare, and Revenge R Us. All these stories are from the 90s, so many of these childish books could be cheesy, or they could be fantastic.

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark is about multiple short stories in numerous books. But they all have the theme to scare people. Not all short stories are scary, but the amount of details that most of them have is one of many reasons why they are scary. It’s one of the most banned books in the 90s. It consists of urban legends, regional folk tales, and campfire stories that leave many readers nostalgic and nightmarish. One of their most thrilling stories is, High Beams. It is about a high school girl who was driving home. As she went home, the driver behind her was flashing their high beam lights at her. She ignores the driver, but the driver continues to do it. She then starts to drive faster and calls her dad to call the police before she arrives. When she came, the driver behind her explained that they were trying to warn her of the person with the knife in the back of her car. There are so many other short stories like High Beams that make the readers freaks over.

Stephen King’s books are filled with science fiction, suspense, crime, and fantasy themes. Many of them have been made into movies, tv shows, and comic books. Like IT, The Shining, or Pet Cemetery. But many of us have heard about IT, The Shining, and Pet Cemetery. He has been writing since the 70s, where many of his famous books are from. But in 2018, he wrote a story that I found pretty gut-feeling. The Outsider, which has to do with a detective Ralph Anderson. Who investigates a terrible crime the involves the murder and violation of a small boy. He arrests a local man, Terry Maitland. It was easy for him to connect the dots, but the problem is that Maitland has a strong alibi. So as Ralph connects the crime to Maitland, he unravels a series of horrible but intriguing evil pieces.
