Pet Sematary

A very weird concept if you think about it but it has horrific outcomes. Like raising a child back from the dead is pretty evil. A solid movie that deserves all the love when it comes to creativity and an honest good scare.

Rec

Rec, the 2007 version, is awesome to say the least. It grows onto you the more you try to understand the story. Especially how scary a closed space can be. Basically being trapped in a small apartment complex with a highly deadly virus that makes you go insane and want to eat flesh. The main character and her camera man work to unravel the mystery of the virus while trying to survive.

The Shining

A terrific movie with great scary scenes and a long drawn story. The theme of the movie perfectly fits the genre of horror, in the act of feeling trapped not only in a relationship but the culture and lifestyle.

Friday the 13th

How could I leave out one of the funniest horror movies. Slashers to me have always been funny because of the goofy act of just pure murder. The point of slasher films is to display the great possibilities of kills you can have on film, without the burden of fleshing out main characters. Flies in a trap and Jason posterizes all of them.

28 Days Later

If you want a good classic zombie movie here it is. 28 Days Later is pretty much the best zombie movie as it doesn’t play with the theme of being a hero. Sacrifice isn’t easy, especially when it comes to saving family, the main character makes harsh decisions that in our eyes are ss but for him are just the best survival moves.

Here are all the horror movies I recommend for you. Watch them if you want a good scare or just are feeling the mood since it is Hallowween soon.
