Message from the Executive Director

2019-2020 was a tremendous year for the Health Foundation and we know that financial support for AHS health projects and programs would not be possible without you ; our donors and sponsors . Thanks to your support we allocated over $ 1.5M towards the purchase of innovative technology and equipment and provided funding for vital healthcare services and programs in our region .
We were also able to host incredible special events – with a record attendance at the 30 th Anniversary Festival of Trees events and the Hospital Bed Races . Due to the coronavirus outbreak and associated social distance health measures enacted in March , the Roaring 2020 ’ s Spring Fling fundraiser was cancelled . Support from sponsors , ticket holders , and donors was tremendous despite not being able to host the event .
Throughout the year , community organizations and local businesses held awesome third-party fundraisers and the youth of our region got heavily involved in philanthropy . We are so pleased to see kids supporting the health and wellness of others through their lemonade stands , auctions , fun days and other creative fundraisers .
There are lots of ways to be involved with the Health Foundation and help advance healthcare in our communities . Make a charitable donation , leave a memorial gift , sponsor events , volunteer , or attend and celebrate with us . Your continued support brings more healthcare technology and services to our region .
