On a chilly but sunny Dec. 27 morning, tens of thousands of mourners, colleagues and onlookers – including a strong NJ State PBA contingent – wishing to pay their respects gathered at the Christ
Tabernacle Church in Queens, New York, to bid a final farewell to
Officer Rafael Ramos.
A week later on Jan. 4, the PBA was there again – trailer in tow – to
Brooklyn to provide support for the funeral of Officer Wenjian Liu.
The late NYPD officers were fatally shot while sitting in their patrol
car in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn on Dec. 20. d
"When an assassin's bullet
targeted two officers, it targeted
this city and it touched the soul
of the entire nation."
