Putting out a call for help
Sometimes, you get a phone call and you know it’s
not going to be a good one. I received one of those
recently late at night. It’s never good news when it
comes at that time.
A State Delegate called to tell me another one of
our members took his own life. I spent the next hour
on the phone, contacting our Peer Assistance
Response Team, activating our resources and doing

whatever we could to help our members.

why it happened, what it says to the rest of us and the
