As 2015 draws to a close, PBA members are
doing what they always do and what they
do best – selfless work serving and
protecting New Jersey communities and
going out of their way to provide for those in
need. The NJ State PBA wishes to take this
opportunity to bestow upon its members,
their families and those they protect a happy
and safe holiday season and a sweet new
year. Thank you for all you do.
When the War on Drugs hit home for Union County Police Corporal Bill Carey after his
20-year-old son overdosed on heroin, it quickly became a War on Addiction for the
officer and his wife, Helen. Now, the couple advocates for law enforcement officers to
carry Narcan, an overdose antidote, to try to help community members affected by
addiction in their greatest time of need ................................................................Page 28
