cy’s and TD Bank among others and community support, the
Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey
raised $3.5 million in 2015 and is expecting the same success at
this year’s event.
“Because of law enforcement backing and being able to raise
money each year, in the last 32 years we have seen (these athletes) grow up, find jobs, get married and do things at one point
no one thought they could do,” noted Belfiore.
Even those unable to run can still get involved in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey by participating in the Adopt-a-Cop program, where $100 allows you to
sponsor a runner. Then download the “Glympse” app to track
your adopted runner’s route on the day of the Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey.
