Linden Local 42 celebrates five new hires

On July 6, Linden Local 42 welcomed five new officers to the Linden Police Department and celebrated the promotion of member William Bizub to sergeant at a Linden City Hall ceremony in front of family and friends.
Bizub – a 17-year veteran with the department – had been working as an investigator with the Union County Prosecutor’ s Office Homicide Task Force. With the promotion to sergeant, he will resume his duties as a supervisor in the Uniformed Services Division in Linden.

Five new officers also were sworn in as new members of the department.
New hire Michael Forfa is the son of Officer Richard Forfa. Michael Mikolajczyk is the son of Detective Kenneth Mikolajczyk, nephew of Detective Kevin Mikolajczyk and cousin of Officer Adam Mikolajczyk. Raymond Wegrzynek is the brother of Sergeant Vincenzo Wegrzynek.
