her dream of becoming a nurse when she starts her education at DeSales University in Pennsylvania this fall. She decided to enter the medical field after her father suffered a heart attack in January 2008 and another in December 2011, which puzzled his doctors because he was in good health. Four years later, he collapsed at his home after having a massive stoke. Allison credited the“ amazing doctors and nurses and months and months of rehab” for her dad’ s road to recovery and hopes she can help patients the way the medical professionals helped her father.
Josh Elkes, an attorney with Direct Title and a friend to the State PBA the past 25 years, was on hand to present Allison with her award.
“ Allison is so gracious and excited about her future,” remarked Elkes.“ She represents her generation beautifully and has the manners, demeanor and poise that every parent would want from their daughter.”
Elkes exuded his joy for being able to participate in giving back to a community whose members put their lives on the line everyday for the public.
“ I see a lot of people who have dedicated their lives to protecting the public, and for public companies like ours to be able to provide support to them as they send their kids off to college means a lot,” pronounced Elkes. d
