We are extremely disappointed that these blatant acts of official misconduct that have been uncovered so far came from the highest level of state government. The New Jersey State PBA commends the men and women of the Fort Lee and Port Authority Police Departments who worked diligently and continued to serve and protect throughout the horrific GWB debacle that caused massive traffic jams and crippled emergency response times last September. It is our sincere hope that the public will never again be purposefully subjected to the risks and dangers imposed upon the residents of Fort Lee and the NJ commuters who were inconvenienced and placed in jeopardy by these lane closures.
