Union City tops Hudson County’s
breast cancer research fundraising
On Nov. 4, Union City Local 8 members presented a check for
$6,670 to the American Cancer Society to benefit breast cancer
research from their fundraising efforts during the month of October.

white lettering on its
hats to pink, and
adding the breast cancer prevention symbol to the back.
Local 8 members also held a bucket drive to raise money and
Athlia Hair Salon in Oradell donated $820 to the cause.
“It was a great honor working with the members who set out a
goal of awareness and to prove if people have a mission, it can be
accomplished,” noted Scardino. “Union City raised the most
money in Hudson County and that is something to be proud
of.”d
