the untimely death of Waldwick Police Officer

serve, we all know and recognize the dangers of our
sworn profession. You have heard me say many

Police officers are always at a tactical disadvantage: People
know who we are because we carry a shield; we wear a uniform
and we operate in marked vehicles with lights on. People know if
they are going to be arrested because they are drunk, have warrants on them or are in possession of illegal items. Being a police
officer is like no other job in the world, because we must go from
being extremely amped up after a pursuit or an arrest to slowing
down a situation to perform a proper frisk or a search.
When we conduct these frisks or searches on the side of the
road or on the streets, take a second to make sure you have the
