Opening with a

2015 NJSPBA
Mini-Convention
The weather certainly didn’t help members from around the state
travel to Caesar’s in Atlantic City for the March 2-5 NJ State PBA MiniConvention (forget the snowstorm that ensured the fun lasted through
Friday), but you wouldn’t know that by looking out from the podium at
the hundreds of members who attended.
“This is the biggest crowd we’ve seen in a while,” opened an elated
Pat Colligan, the State PBA President who promised a Mini-Convention
that would be comprehensive, educational, motivational, social… generally unforgettable. (Executive Vice-President) Marc (Kovar) and I
want to thank all of you – it really has been a very fruitful nine months.”
In those months since his administration hit the ground running,
Colligan began a whistle stop tour to meet every legislator in the state,
a daunting endeavor that he said is about 80-percent done.
“We can’t do it without you guys behind us, and we can’t do it
without the PAC,” Colligan stated. “These legislators have recognized
us, and we’re starting to get recognized in the press. We have a lot to go,
and the government isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. This can’t be
done without everyone here bringing all this information back to your
members.”
