Ocean County Conference strengthens
relationship with Rivoli’s Restaurant
The Ocean County Conference continues to
mourn the passing of Brick Township Local 230
member Kristopher DeMarco who lost his battle
with cancer in January.
In their time of grief, Brick Township Local 230
State Delegate Jim Burgess and Toms River Local
137 State Delegate Jess Robertazzi approached
local business owner Tony Rivoli of Rivoli’s
Restaurant in Toms River, to assist the DeMarco
family. In an effort to show his unwavering support for law enforcement, Rivoli provided meals
for the DeMarco family in their time of need.
In return, the Ocean County Conference
moved its monthly meeting for February to
Rivoli’s Restaurant, to thank the business owner
for his kindness. Without hesitation, Rivoli agreed
to host and cater the meeting.
Rivoli gained national attention for his staunch
support of law enforcement when a signboard for
the business lit up with the phrase, “I can breathe,
I obey the law.” This act was met with great appreciation from law enforcement supporters and the
NJ State PBA recognized Rivoli with a Business
Award at the 2015 Valor Awards. d
