CONVENTION 2016 INFORMATION
If you think this
convention
was an
Pete Andreyev
affair to remember,
Convention Committee Chair
wait until you see the
next convention.
First Vice-President Pete Andreyev, who also sports Convention Committee Chair as one of the many PBA hats he wears, made the first report of the
Mini Convention and announced that “a couple of things will be different
than the past” when the PBA holds its Main Convention Sept. 13-20.
Translated, that means the event, which is being held at the Arizona
Grand Resort in Phoenix, is not to be missed. The PBA has partnered with
several local businesses to secure attendees special discounts on meals,
events, excursions and more in the time available after the business and
meetings conclude each day.
It was all hands
on deck to emphasize the impact of the
NJ State PBA Peer
Assistance Protocol
on PBA members. It
was a sentiment expressed straight from
the top.
“I know this is not
the sexiest topic to
listen to,” reported
State PBA President
Pat Colligan. “But we
lost 19 preventable
deaths this year, and not one committed suicide without anyone knowing it
was going to happen.”
The league of extraordinary members known as the PBA Peer Liaison
Committee took the stage, one-by-one, to share how members can go about
helping their sisters and brothers.
“When I took over from Ken Burkert, I never realized how busy we were
going to be,” revealed Peer Liaison Committee Chairman and Ewing Township Local 111 State Delegate Mike Pell Yܚ[
