Edison Unity Tour team starts rolling
The Edison Local 75 Police Unity Tour team held its official
kickoff to prepare for the 2014 ride by hosting a fundraiser at
the Fox and Hound in Edison on Feb. 25.

The event raised approximately $6,500, which will be used
for the Local’s 11-person team of 10 members and one support person. For the fourth consecutive year, Local 75 will be

competing in the four-day challenge ride that will roll from
New Jersey to Washington, D.C. for National Police Week.
“A lot of guys have been spinning, and we’re looking for
some weather to get outside and start training,” said team
member and Local 75 State Delegate Jeff Diakunczak. “We
take a lot of pride in this event. You’re riding for somebody
killed in the line of duty, and to ride in their names and honor
and see their families is very fulfilling.” d
