Cranford PD honors
two new lieutenants
On Jan. 28, Guy Patterson, a 15-year veteran, and Craig Marino, a 24-year veteran, were each promoted to Lieutenant with
the Cranford Police Department Patrol Division.
Lieutenant Patterson has served with the Field Training Unit,
the Special Response Team, the Water Rescue Team, the Traffic Division and, most recently, the Patrol Division as a shift
supervisor. In addition, Patterson possesses a Certification in
Emergency Management from Kean University, is a graduate
of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership Program and is an alumni of Kean University where he received his Master’s in Police Administration.
He is also a member of Cranford SOA Local 52's Collective Bargaining Unit.
Lieutenant Marino has served in the Traffic Division, Patrol
Division and Records Division. During his career, Lieutenant
Marino has received 15 Departmental Letters of Commendation, three Lifesaving Citations, four Departmental Citations,
and two Administrative Service Citations. Lieutenant Marino
holds an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Union County College and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Kean
University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. d
