Lyons’ decent proposal

If you are looking for a view of Kevin Lyons that only his wife
gets to enjoy, it’s time to open your wallets.
For this year’s Feb. 22 Seaside Heights Polar Bear Plunge, the
State PBA Legal Plan Administrator – who often reminds people of his disdain for anything beach related – has offered a challenge for the state’s Locals and members:
1. If we raise $5,000, I'll put up
$500 and jump in on Feb 22.
2. If we raise $7,500, I'll wear a
speedo when I jump in.
3. If we raise $10,000, I’ll put
my clothes back on.
Fair enough?
You heard it here first: Lyons is stepping up and stripping
down for a noble cause: the Special Olympics.
“I’m doing this because it’s a great cause and I am stepping
up to do as much as I can,” he said.
Shortly after attending the Polar Bear Plunge in Wildwood,
Lyons, who sits on the state committee to plan Plunge events
with 37 other law enforcement officers from across the state,
knew that there was still more he could do to help with the

cause… and apparently, it’s getting nearly naked.
But before Lyons bares all, he needs his fellow members
across the state to donate to the cause that means so much to
him. So much, in fact, he is willing to face two of his greatest
annoyances. Lyons recently posted on Facebook that although
he was a police officer at the Long Beach Township Police
Department for 25 years, he hates two things: sand and cold
