be happy. Some candidates are excellent at taking written examinations and excel in this portion. Other officers are better at
audio/visual learning and prefer to hear a question or see a scenario
to develop the best answer. In theory, by having both a written and
video/assessment component, the process should expand the pool
of viable candidates by providing a testing instrument that is more
inclusive in nature. Only time will be the true determinant as to
whether the Civil Service Commission developed a comprehensive
and accurate examination that will stand up to challenges.
