The first aspect of the training I’d like to discuss is the timed shooting. Some feel that the time is inadequate and others feel that the time allotments are too lax. Regardless, the time is not supposed to be an exact science, but instead meant as a tool to increase anxiety for the shooter to learn to operate under pressure. Whether or not the time is too long or too short, I do not know. However, the goal of increasing the shooter’s anxiety does seem to be effective.
