Celebrating with Biamonte and his family were PBA President Pat Colligan, members of the Bergen County Conference, local mayors, State Senator Paul Sarlo (D-36) and Wood-Ridge Police Chief Paul Goscinski. Biamonte’s son, Joseph III, even wore his own mini police uniform to celebrate his dad’s promotion. “After 22 years they were pretty excited,” Biamonte said about his family. “I got pretty emotional, but at the end of the day it’s the right thing to do for my family. It’s been an honor serving the guys in Bergen County.” d Detective Sergeant Joe Biamonte is sworn in with his family including wife April, son Joseph III and daughters Samantha, Skylar and Brooke. www.njcopsmagazine.com ■ SEPTEMBER 2016 67
