Joseph Biamonte promoted to Sergeant
On Aug. 17 at the Wood-Ridge
Borough Hall, Joseph Biamonte – known
for his service as a State PBA Executive
Board Sergeant-at-Arms, the WoodRidge Local 313 State Delegate, a Bergen
County Conference Co-Chair and a
member of multiple State PBA committees – was promoted to Detective Sergeant.
“It’s very bittersweet,” admits Biamonte, who although promises to
remain an active member of the Local,
will step down as County Conference
Chair as Paramus’ Glen Pagano takes
over.
Celebrating with Biamonte and his
family were PBA President Pat Colligan,
members of the Bergen County Conference, local mayors, State Senator Paul
Sarlo (D-36) and Wood-Ridge Police
Chief Paul Goscinski.
Biamonte’s son, Joseph III, even wore
his own mini police uniform to celebrate
his dad’s promotion.
“After 22 years they were pretty excited,” Biamonte said about his family. “I got
pretty emotional, but at the end of the
day it’s the right thing to do for my family.
It’s been an honor serving the guys in
Bergen County.” d
Detective Sergeant Joe Biamonte is sworn in with his family including wife April, son Joseph III and
daughters Samantha, Skylar and Brooke.
