Elizabeth Local 4 drives
for a cause
Elizabeth Local 4 continued its tradition of giving back on
Oct. 3 with the Local’s popular golf classic. Local 4 members and
sponsors from law enforcement supporters worked together to
help the 14th annual Elizabeth Local 4 Golf Classic raise money
for the Local’s Civic Association. The sold-out golf tournament
held at the Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains has
benefited many noble causes over the years, including youth
groups and athletic programs, Special Olympics of New Jersey,
Team Kevin Strive, Team Brandon and Children’s Specialized
Hospital. Proceeds have also been dedicated to families in need
during the holidays. This year, the Elizabeth Local 4 Golf Classic
raised $25,000 for the cause.
