Is light duty negotiable?
Your Department advised you that
it is implementing a light duty policy.
Now what?
First, you must know what “light
duty” is. Most of the “light duty”
(also known as “transitional duty”
and “modified duty”) policies that

Second, as with any other policy or procedure implemented
by your department, the PBA must determine what parts of the
policy, if any, are negotiable. Once that is determined, the PBA
must determine if any of the clauses that are negotiable con-
flict with it
