The call to raise money to support Special Olympics New Jersey brings thousands of PBA members to Seaside Heights each year for the Polar Bear Plunge . Along with the opportunity to provide all that they can for the kids , members take part in this event annually to emphasize how law enforcement is all in for the community . And that also brings a chance to take on the annual challenge of running into near-freezing waters and feel the sisterhood and brotherhood that comes with taking the Plunge .
