2018 NJSPBA
Mini-Convention
We’re all in this together
Briefing
The relationships the State PBA has built with other
public safety unions continue to produce a windfall of
influence and benefits.
FMBA President Ed Donnelly, New Jersey State Po-
lice NCO President Pete Stilianessis and State Troop-
ers SOA President Rich Roberts each shared messages
of support for what has been accomplished and en-
couragement for what is ahead. All four unions com-
bined to create statewide support for Governor Phil
Murphy’s campaign, and they continue to join forces
in pursuing legislation to benefit all public safety em-
ployees.
“It’s not a coincidence that we are working well to-
gether, not just in Trenton but at the local levels with
contract negotiations, grievances and all the things
towns try to do to pull us apart,” Donnelly said. “I know
you all want to see immediate results. We will see it.”
The spirit of this year’s Mini swept up all three
unions. The New Jersey State Police SOA and NCO
pledged to donate $5,000 to Mallory’s Army and
$3,000 to the Josh Vadell Foundation. Moved by the
State Corrections Local 105 donation of $5,000 to Mal-
lory’s Army, Donnelly pledged $5,001 on behalf of the
FMBA. d
