The 200 Club of Essex County
honors local officers
On May 10, NJ State PBA Locals in Essex County celebrated
52 years of strong community partnership and support through
the 200 Club of Essex County. The 200 Club of Essex County was
first founded by business leaders in 1966 on the principle of “we
take care of those who take care of us.”
Since then, the organization has raised more than $2 million
in support of many law enforcement-related causes, including
scholarships and valor awards. The efforts of the organization
have led the way for the establishment of 17 other 200 Clubs
throughout the state.
Hundreds of Essex County officers, families and business
supports gathered at Nanina’s in the Park in Belleville to cele-
brate the bond between law enforcement and the community
and to honor recipients of Public Safety Valor Awards. Essex
County Conference members from multiple Locals were recog-
nized for outstanding actions in the line of duty. Many of those
