Milburn Local 34 member has special guest at promotion ceremony
On June 19, members of Milburn
Local 34 looked on with admiration as
Gilbert Tavares was promoted to ser-
geant. However, Tavares’s brothers in
blue were not the only ones on hand to
congratulate him. His seven-year-old
daughter Emily was dressed to impress
as she stood beside her father during
his swearing-in ceremony. d
Jackson Township Local 168 members move up
Jackson Township Local 168 recently
promoted four of its members.
Patrolmen Mike Grochowski and
Theodore Kucowski were promoted
to sergeant on January 23. On May 22,
Sergeant Christopher Praise was pro-
moted to lieutenant, and Patrolman
Trevor Crowley was promoted to ser-
geant. d
