Mercer County officers recognized for their valor The 200 Club of Mercer County honored six officers from the Mercer County Task Force with special recognition at its annual val- or awards on June 13. The valor award is one of the highest honors the 200 Club be- stows on local law enforcement for displaying courage and bravery under difficult or hazardous conditions. On May 10, 2017, the six officers took gunfire when they attempted to serve an arrest warrant related to a Megan’s Law offense. The incident resulted in a 36-hour standoff. The officers included members from Mercer County Sheriffs Of- ficers Local 187.
