Berkeley Heights Local 144 hosts a holiday VIP Although Santa’s preferred mode of transportation is a flying sleigh, on Dec. 9, he switched out his sled for a patrol car. Berkeley Heights Local 144 held its annual Police Santa Spe- cial Delivery Unit, where Santa packs a patrol car with presents and one special, furry friend to spread some holiday cheer to children in the community. It’s through this event that Officers Jean Marie Mocarski and Trent Fettes have been able to forge new relationships within the community. After a long day of listening to Christmas music and enjoy- ing cookies, Santa, his helpers and members of Local 144 were happy to have brought some holiday magic to the families they work so hard to protect and serve. Old Bridge Local 127 spreads some holiday cheer On Dec. 7, Old Bridge Local 127 hosted its 22nd annual Cops for Kids Christmas party at the George Bush Senior Center. Each year, Local 127 invites underprivileged children in the community and their families to enjoy food and entertain- ment as well as receive special gifts for the holiday season.
