That’s the ticket
When members saw Steve Kalafer at the NJ State PBA meet-
ing on April 9, they knew it would be a good day to participate
in the 50-50 raffle.
Over the years, the Flemington Car and Truck Country owner

podium at the meeting at Pines Manor in Edison. The crowd of

the meeting. “When I see the care and consideration of the offi-
cers in our community, I’m proud.”

began to fidget with their strands of 50-50 tickets, anticipating
the next order of business.

comes to $1,557. How about we make it $5,000?”
Flemington’s generosity elicited a standing ovation from the

as he leaned into the microphone to increase the jackpot again
before choosing the winning ticket that sent a lucky member
home with a $6,000 prize.
“It’s not about the money,” noted Flemington Car and Truck
Country General Manager Jerry Sheehan. “It’s about doing our
share for what you guys do every day to take care of our com-
munity.” d
