Roselle Park
makes a
lifesaving
donation
Roselle Park Local 27 recently donated two Automat-
ic External Defibrillators (AED units) to the Methodist
Church and Nursery School located on Chestnut Street.
The donations came after Delegate Greg Polakoski attend-
ed the school’s day care center and nursery school during
Read Across America week in March. After reading to the
class, Polakoski noticed a lack of AED units in the facili-
ty, which has about 70 children enrolled and serves three
congregations.
Roselle Park Mayor Carl Hokanson, former member of
Local 27, helped make the generous donations possible
so that the church and nursery school can be better pre-
pared for any cardiac emergencies that could occur in the
future.
