Niños con Bendicion – Summer 2016
We are an organization called Niños con Bendicion, which means “Children with
Blessings”. We are regarded for keeping our Guatemalan Culture.
Right now we are working with 31 kids, and they are all in different grades. We have
kids in Pre-School, High School and University. They get help with everything with
registration fees, monthly tuitions, books, uniforms and more.
They are at the Youth Centre Monday through Friday from 2-5pm. They get help
with homework and get extra help with math, as well as English classes with
volunteers from Maximo Nivel, a local group who work with short term volunteers
from around the world. They also have computer classes twice a week, and music and
dance classes.
Prayers and adoration to the Lord occur at 4pm for 20 minutes, and then they are
served a hot meal.
The Music teacher helps the kids with homework, and Fabiola helps the kids with
homework and helps Lesbi to cook the food and serve the children. One more
teacher helps to reinforce the kids.
To all of the 441 tourists who have visited us from January to September, thank you.
Thank you for sharing and feeling like another child while enjoying the dances, the
process of making the tortillas, and playing the children's games. We would
especially like to thank Nancy Hoffman. Valerie Edward, Amber Farman, Ronnie
Chinchilla from Habitat for Humanity, Tamara Hillstrom, Caroline Tiffin, Alyssa
Dunsirn, Melanie Bartels, Jean, from Aventuras Tropicales, Linn Thomas, Carlos
Mijangos, Elizabeth Wolverton and Genesis Davies for bringing or sending so many
groups to visit our program!
With God's help, our sponsors and you, we will be able to make our kids dreams a
reality.
Blessings to all
Tino and Lesbi
