Making Frames and Crosses
For the past few years, Tino has been making wooden frames and crosses.
They
have been taken to the United States and Canada to be painted and sold as a
fundraiser for the program.
The older boys have helped Tino to make these
beautiful frames and crosses, and they have each signed their name on the back, so
that the purchaser will know whose work they have purchased.
While visiting the group in the summer, Mary spent an afternoon teaching the
children and adults to paint and stain the products.
The hope is that they will be
able to finish the work there, and then sell them to visitors and possibly even in local
markets and stores.
The children had a wonderful time, and were very enthusiastic
about learning this new skill!
