Longtime EDNY AUSA Joins Bracewell In New York

Law360 ( May 23 , 2024 , 4:43 PM EDT ) -- Bracewell LLP announced that the former chief of the U . S . Attorney ' s Office for the Eastern District of New York ' s Long Island district joined the firm ' s government enforcement and investigations practice as a partner .
Nicole Boeckmann joined Bracewell ' s New York office Wednesday after spending the last 20 years working at the Eastern District . She told Law360 on Thursday that she was drawn to the firm because of its strong reputation , adding that the presence of a number of former colleagues also led her to choose Bracewell as her first foray into private practice .
" Bracewell has a stellar reputation in the Eastern District of New York and , in fact , throughout the Department of Justice ," Boeckmann said . " That is so critical to client success . Let ' s not forget the opportunity to be part of a growing team and work alongside my former colleagues Seth DuCharme and Judge Roslynn R . Mauskopf , as well as the iconic Judge Barbara Jones ; that really sealed my decision to join Bracewell ."
Boeckmann said that her practice at Bracewell will focus on working with companies and individuals on white collar investigations involving both criminal and civil crimes such as fraud , corruption and embezzlement . She added that national security will be another aspect of her work going forward .

Boeckmann , who graduated from Catholic University of America ' s Columbus School of Law , spent her entire career working in public service before joining Bracewell , spending seven years as an assistant district attorney at the New York County District Attorney ' s Office before joining the Eastern District , according to her LinkedIn page .
