The original photo was taken using the camera’s panorama option and slightly shaking it while passing it over freshly blooming trees in Seattle’s Japanese Garden. Inspiration came from the idea of designing a print solely through camera manipulation. Removing the natural tones and then re-coloring it with shades of lapis blue, deep purple, and inky black created a Japanese toile-like print.
