September has been filled with exciting news concerning the longevity and future of this program. We have important news to share concerning new partnerships. We will be partnering with Starwalt Photography to provide sponsorships and funding to the program. As our goal is to find sponsorships for every student within the program this new partnership is essential. We are thrilled to be embarking on this new chapter with Starwalt Photography.
Our students have been working extremely hard every Saturday participating in class, turning in homework, and arriving on time. We are proud of all their accomplishments and look forward to the endless opportunities waiting for them. This past month we have mentored and
offered insight concerning the necessity of one to seize every opportunity and to use each opportunity as a way to improve oneself. We firmly believe that what you do today will affect who and where you will be tomorrow. Our students are learning the importance of self-drive and commitment. It has been gratifying to see our students grow and mature.
This past week one of our team leaders, Lauren, and her parents spent time with our students, planning mini-trips around the city. We believe it is important for our students to have positive experiences outside of class, as life is more than work, more than our dreams. It happens everyday and it is important to put as much effort in how one carries his or herself in the community as one would in school or work. Also, many of our students have not traveled much outside of their neighborhood or the center-city of Matagalpa; so, allowing them to see the beauty that surrounds them was exciting.
We are optimistic for the future, prepared for the unexpected, and open to all of the opportunities that await us. Bring on October!
