Emma Evans has been named Valedictorian of the Barker Central High School Class of 2024 .
Emma is the daughter of Sarah and Brian Evans and will graduate with a grade point average of 100.477 %.
Emma plans to attend SUNY Geneseo pursuing a Business Administration degree .
Emma has received numerous awards including the 9th grade Spanish Excellence , 9th grade Social Studies Excellence , 10th and 11th grade Science Excellence , and 11th grade Mathematics Excellence . She has also achieved high honor roll all four years of high school . She is also a $ 160,000 Rensselaer Medalist Scholarship recipient . In addition to her academic achievements , Emma has excelled athletically throughout high school participating in swimming , cross country and track and field sports including many Section 6 Class D Championship and sectional competitions . A highlight of her athleticism was breaking the Barker High School record for 3000m in 11th grade .
Emma has been a member of Student Council , National Honor Society , Peer Mentoring Program , and Leadership for the Youth of Niagara County . Her hobbies include baking , running , reading and playing board games .
Lillia Peace has been named Salutatorian of the Barker Central High School Class of 2024 .
Lillia is the daughter of Tera and Jason Peace and will graduate with a grade point average of 97.943 %.
Lillia plans to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering .
Lillia has achieved high honor roll and been a member of the National Honor Society in addition to being a Scholar Athlete in all sports , every season . She has received the Captains Award for Varsity Basketball and Cross Country , Junior Class English Academic Award , Presidential Scholarship from RIT , George Eastman Young Leaders Scholarship , Foreign Language Academic Award , RIT Women in STEM Award .
In addition to her awards , Lillia has participated in Varsity Girls Basketball , Cross Country , the Mentor and Mentee program , Student Council , AFS , High School All County Concert Band , High School Concert Band , Jazz Band , Musical Pit Band and Leadership for the Youth of Niagara County .
She is also a RIT Music Scholar .
