SURGE PROTECTION TO PROVIDE
YOU WITH A LAYER OF SMARTS
®
NO CONNECTION
SAFEGROUND® is the first smart surge protection
device on the
market that tests and indicates if you have an adequate ground
POOR away from
connection to enable surge energy to be diverted
your sensitive equipment.
TECHNOLOGY
SAFEGROUND® is based on the impedance
loop technology already patented, sold and
implemented by Cirprotec in thousands of
protection solutions. SAFEGROUND® patent
pending.
CORRECT
Surge protection devices discharge excess energy into the
ground which limits the peak voltage to a value acceptable
for the electrical equipment connected, however the electrical
installation may still be subject to the effects of overvoltage if
the ground connection is inadequate or in poor condition.
SAFEGROUND® addresses this problem through continuous
monitoring of ground connection by sending signal pulses into
the earth then measuring the voltage response and giving the
impedance of the loop. To indicate installation status, the device
gives a Green LED (Correct), Yellow LED (Poor) or Red LED (No
connection).
SAFEGROUND® can also indicate that downstream equipment
has an effective ground connection for protection and safety in
general.

DESIGNING CUSTOM PANELBOARDS IS EASIER THAN EVER WITH NHP
NHP’s Concept Panelboard range can be delivered in non-standard
configurations through an easy end to end design to a manufactured
solution.
Explore the interior of NHP’s Concept Premier Panelboard with a 3D
‘ant’s perspective’ interactive experience now.
This new and advanced design XPD software produces 2D CAD
drawings or 3D models for better visualisation of the project. XPD
allows custom designs to be quickly engineered at NHP’s state of the art
National Manufacturing and Distribution Centre.
There are also NHP Concept Panelboard 3D Rivet models available that
can be used in a Building Information Modelling (BIM) program. Rivet
models solve the common problem of underestimated switchboard
space in building designs.
The correct NHP Concept Panelboard Rivet model for a project can be
selected by nominating panelboard and main switch, circuit number
and colour with just a few simple clicks. For indoor applications, the
range includes Concept One IP40, and Concept Plus IP42 (the option
of IP52 is also available). The Concept Premier (IP66) is also available for
outdoor applications. Once selected, the model can then be placed in
the building design to ensure suitable space is allocated.
To assist with the planning of incoming/outgoing cables and mounting
accessories, 2D AutoCAD drawings displaying overall dimensions and
the general arrangement of internal components such as busbar chassis,
spare DIN rail and the location of main switch are also available.
