Page 80 - Ngaruawahia High School Kapa Haka USA Tour 1998 With the group spread out over a fair area of Salt Lake City there were two collection points. At 7:30am those more to the north gathered at the chapel they were welcomed at five days previously and then the bus moved south to collect those in another area. Several of the group were already in Provo and arranged to meet the bus in the parking area of Brigham Young University. The farewells were not without emotions on both sides. A large number of the group informed the adults that they had done their best to stay up all night so that they would sleep on the 400-mile (600 kilometer) bus trip south to Nevada! On the way south on the 30-minute trip to Provo Te Waiti suffered nosebleeds as the bus took us slightly up in altitude (4,600 feet above sea level). The sleepers barely had time to snuggle down or start a chain of conversation before arriving at Brigham Young University in Provo.
