Ngaruawahia High School Kapa Haka USA Tour 1998 - Page 49 On this Friday evening the group were brought by their families to the Rose Park North Stake Center where the New Zealand Returned Missionaries Reunion was being held, and at which the group was to entertain. Over 800 people were at the Reunion, the majority of whom had served prostelyting missions for the LDS Church in New Zealand. It was discovered that the group’s performance had been pre-advertised on local TV! Several of the group saw the advertisement as they surfed their way through some of the huge range of TV stations available. The group warmed up in a classroom away from the stage. The audience was full of praise for the group who gave an emotional display. A koha of US$50 was presented to the tourists after the show.
