Page 238 - Ngaruawahia High School Kapa Haka USA Tour 1998 Above and below: Looking both ways in the food hall of Ontario Mills Mall. Huge variety of foods. From 5:15pm to 7:00pm a lot of the group got some serious repackaging of their suitcases done before the noon departure of the hotel tomorrow. It took both Corrie and Te Whainoa to crush down Sandy MacDonald’s suitcases so that they could be zipped up! The last evening meal of the tour was held at the neighbouring Chinese smorgasbord where the group celebrated the combined birthdays of Te Waiti, Casey-Mia and Corrie with a cake supplied by the restaurant. Every member of the group was given the opportunity to say what they had enjoyed about the trip and what they had learned from the experience. Impromptu performances followed as they entertained each other, much to the fascination of other patrons in the restaurant (the group were allocated a section to themselves where they could eat and dance). Then it was back to the hotel for a spa and bed by 11:00pm.
