The coach left the hotel at 7:15am and
headed for Magic Mountain, about 70 minutes
away on the northern side of Los Angeles. Arrived
30 minutes before the gates opened at 10:00am.
About 1000 were there waiting to get in and
the NHS group had a park photographer take their
picture that would be ready for viewing in the park
in about an hour (the resultant photos were so
inferior that they could not be reproduced for this
album).
The park comprised of over 30 highadrenaline aerial and water-based rides and the

tourists were immediately lost to the adults as they
took off in all directions, heading for the rides.
Stayed, played and ate until 4:00pm. As at
all locations on tour the groups’ jackets received a
lot of attention and comments.
Al Duane caught the limelight as he got his
pants caught on the entrance gate turn-styles and
did an unintentional down-trou’!
Some rides were free while others had an
additional charge over and above the entry fee.
The group tried their best to sample every ride
they could and to hell with the nausea!
