IMAX theatres where the
screens were 7 stories high and
58 feet wide!
Sandy MacDonald took
the chance to slip away from the
group and attend the EFX show
at the MGM Grande. David
Cassidy played the lead role in
the 90-minute spectacular on
one of the largest stages in the
States. Cassidy had taken over
the lead role from Michael
Crawford. The entrance price
was $US70 and, according to
Sandy, worth every cent.
Ten spools of film were
handed in for development at a
cost of $US158 for 384 prints.
There were many keen viewers
back at the hotel!
Excalibur did not charge
for our daily Fax to Radio
Tainui, but it costs $US10 to get
one item of clothing laundered!
