Te Whainoa Te Wiata on the South Rim of Grand Canyon.

Arrived at the Grand Canyon Village where
we had lunch at a smorgasbord restaurant at
1:15pm and then promptly took off again at
2:00pm for the last ‘hop’ to the canyon rim.
It was here at the village restaurant that
Sandy met up with Jo and Allan Crane for the
short lunch stop, where they crammed 33 years of
catch-up into 35 minutes!
Made two rim stops – the first just for 20

minutes to get the first views of the canyon and
then the second to get changed on the bus into
costume and have several panoramic group shots
with the canyon in the background and crowds of
other tourists watching on..
It was unfortunate that an elevated position
could not be found so that the shots could be of
the group with the floor of the canyon behind
them. Headed back west at 5:15pm.
