Year 10 Camp
I
The Top Group was taken out by Mr Jarnet’s team
through winning a close Amazing Race by only seconds. Well
done to them and their leaders Tom Gilby-Todd and Mariah
Whare.
The week was made awesome by the positive behaviour
exhibited by the students.
n the second week of this term the Year 10 Camp was held.
The week was full of activities such as sailing,
kayaking, mountain biking and Ropes courses. All those
attending had a lot of fun.
Mr Jarnet’s group proved to be the best in the kitchen
while Melanie Rowell’s squad took out the ropes challenge. The
mountain biking saw Miss Gabel’s group ride away with the
award.
Jarnet turns 25!

ssociate Deputy Principal Chris Jarnet
was surprised by the staff celebrating
with him his 25th year at Ngaruawahia High.
The haggis was piped into the staffroom
and Chris enjoyed the moment in the
company of his family and colleagues.

Chris teaches Woodwork and Graphics
alongside his administrative duties as DP in
addition to his after-hours moonlighting as a
carpenter.
